When W Homes Collective and I decided to work together, they were in the process of taking their part time side hustle of renovating homes in Austin, Texas to a full time business. While they had all of the beautiful design, inspired vision, and project management they needed, there was a disconnect between the beautiful homes they were renovating and building, and a way to talk about it. For this project we decided to focus on

The Verbal Identity 

As we went through the verbal identity discover process, it was clear that W Homes Collective’s new verbal identity should be based on The Innocent brand archetype. 

The motto for the innocent brand archetype is “Free to be you and me,” which reflects on the brand values of purity, simplicity, and optimism. 

W Homes Collective has built an impressive reputation solely around being an excellence driven, simplified, ambitious business. 

Here’s a sample from the Verbal Identity Playbook I created for them 

"We communicate in a decisive, friendly way, consistently reassuring our clients throughout the process that we are the experts they need on their team. Because most clients feel very comfortable working with us, organic friendships are a natural byproduct of the business we run. We value quality, functionality, and stewarding a space for others well and consistently strive to interweave these values throughout our work and communication." 

The Brand Voice

The W Homes Collective Brand Voice revolves around a sense of authenticity and trust. One of the big things we considered while finding their brand voice was the importance of clients being comfortable letting a business into their home. 

W Homes Collective wanted to make it clear that they were a trustworthy company. A company you could trust to remodel and design your home, but also a company that you can trust bringing into your home to do the work. 

That’s why we landed on the tagline “come home, rest easy” for their website. 

Here’s a favorite line from their copy that demonstrates their brand voice

“At W Homes Collective, we believe in more than just constructing houses. We create homes where you can gather, rest, and recharge. Our process is shaped by our dedication to professionalism, integrity, and a passion for crafting spaces that resonate with your lifestyle and aspirations.”
